Candlelight Babies Zurich invites you to the first concert of the day at the Careum Auditorium on November 28, 2026. The More Than Classic Duo will perform well-known melodies by Vivaldi, Mozart, and Brahms at 10:30 a.m. at a volume suitable for little ears. The warm glow of many candles will create a peaceful atmosphere in the hall, without requiring your baby to sit still.

The morning session is ideal for families whose children are particularly alert in the morning. You can sit down, cuddle with your baby, or walk around the room to music. If your child gets a little noisy, that's perfectly normal. Everything you and your baby need is provided. After 45 minutes, you'll still have the whole day to explore the neighborhood.

What families can expect at Candlelight Babies Zurich

Upon arrival, you will have 30 minutes to settle in and find a spot in the movement room. The floor is padded, and adults sit on tatami mats. This allows young children to lie down, crawl, or take their first steps while the music begins. The volume is adjusted for small ears.

The More Than Classic The duo guides the audience through a 45-minute program that blends well-known classical pieces with familiar children's songs. Vivaldi's Spring is followed by Mozart's Eine kleine Nachtmusik and later Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. Those who know the melodies might hum along. That's precisely what makes this morning so personal.

Who is this appointment suitable for?

This concert is for parents with babies and toddlers up to 36 months old. Grandparents, godparents, or other caregivers are also welcome to attend, and older siblings aged 3 to 11 receive their own ticket. No prior knowledge of classical music is necessary. If your child becomes restless during the performance, that's perfectly fine: they are welcome to move around and make noises.

Our tip for attending the concert

Plan your arrival so that you arrive when the doors open. Once the concert has begun, entry is only permitted during the breaks between pieces. Comfortable clothing for you and your child will make it easier to sit on the floor. The candles in the children's area create a lovely atmosphere, but please keep a close eye on your baby as usual.

A ticket for one adult with a baby costs from CHF 75. Additional adults and children aged 3 to 11 can be booked directly; a family package is available for two adults with a baby.
