Beethoven, James Bond, Star Wars, Rocky and Pirates of the Caribbean in one afternoon? Beethoven goes to Movies makes exactly this encounter possible.
The More Than Classic string quartet plays Beethoven's famous works as well as well-known film music by Lalo Schifrin, Monty Norman, John Williams, Bill Conti, Survivor as well as Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer.
Tension, drama, and grand musical themes characterize both Beethoven and many of the most famous film soundtracks. Short spoken introductions guide the audience through the concert, demonstrating why this music can evoke powerful images and emotions even without a screen.
Those who constantly plan, organise, and function in their daily lives sometimes need a moment where nothing needs to be done. This Sunday concert in Zurich offers 75 minutes to listen, switch off, and enjoy.
