PROJEKTIL – PULSE: 360° Classical Music Experience – 30 October 2026
Stuttgart - Johanneskirche am Feuersee

The Protestant Johanneskirche am Feuersee in Stuttgart-West is a neo-Gothic church from the 19th century. In autumn 2026, PROJEKTIL transforms its interior into an immersive visual world with 360° projections. On selected evenings, the More Than Classic string quartet plays live.

When the first notes sound, PULSE begins a little differently each time. The string quartet performs the music live, while PROJEKTIL’s 360° projections fully engage the space, weaving a visual narrative around the performance. Smetana’s “The Moldau” thus acquires a particularly immediate, almost chamber music-like intimacy: one hears the subtle movements of the voices and simultaneously experiences how the image captures the musical flow. Classical performance and immersive storytelling meet on equal footing – not as two separate elements, but as a unified experience.

The programme on 30 October unites some of the most renowned soundscapes of classical music. Smetana’s Moldau, with its flowing character, opens the evening; Debussy’s Clair de lune creates a tranquil, almost ethereal space; and Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King” builds tension step by step. Dvořák’s rhythmic energy, Schubert’s dramatic depth, the virtuosic Passacaglia by Handel/Halvorsen, Vivaldi’s Summer, and an excerpt from Verdi’s La Traviata make for a varied and emotionally resonant evening.

An early Friday evening is the perfect moment for PULSE to start the weekend together. Meet friends after work, bring your family or make the concert the start of a longer evening for two. The compact format of around 45 minutes combines easily with a meal before or after – and still gives the evening a clear cultural highlight.

Anyone who organises, plans and keeps things running all day knows how quickly shared time disappears between appointments. A concert creates a fixed moment you can look forward to together. You don’t have to prepare anything or plan the whole evening: you arrive, listen and let the music and the visual impressions carry you. It is exactly this simplicity that can turn an ordinary Friday into something special.

In the Johanneskirche in Stuttgart, the music of More Than Classic is accompanied by large-scale projections that keep transforming the space. The live string quartet remains the starting point: the visuals do not replace the music, but create an additional atmosphere in which familiar works can be heard differently.

If you love classical music, you’ll rediscover many familiar motifs; if you’ve had little contact with classical music so far, PULSE offers an easy way in. The live performances take place on selected evenings only, and places are limited. So it’s best not to come alone: share this 360° Classical Music Experience with the people who matter to you and turn an ordinary Friday into a moment you’ll still be talking about later.

Start your weekend off right – selected PULSE live evenings, limited places and an immersive 360° Classical Music Experience.
