AURORIUM - GENESIS - More than Classic (violin + piano)

After several successful and very popular productions by More than Classic and Projektil in Switzerland in recent years, we are happy to present you the next highlight in Hamburg:

Experience the entire story of creation up close in our shows with a 45-minute live concert - from the creation of light to the birth of the plant world and the animal kingdom to the first humans. The historic Kulturkirche Altona is transformed into a stunning backdrop where you can witness the story of Genesis through an audiovisual and immersive light show like never before.

The two musicians from More than Classic, Irina Pak (cello) and Marianna Nevolovitsch (piano), will provide musical accompaniment to Projektil's fascinating light show and fill the Kulturkirche Altona with wonderful sounds.

They bring in different cultures and emotions and play works by Bach, Tchaikovsky, Debussy and Brahms on this exclusive concert evening. The program leads through various epochs from the baroque to modern film music and is synchronized with the artistic animations of Projektil to the second.

MEET THE PERFORMING ARTISTS

IRINA PAK, VIOLIN

Making music and interacting with the audience is Irina's great passion and gives her the opportunity to express herself in the language she speaks best: music. Versatility and innovation play a key role in her artistic self-image. She plays baroque repertoire with the same dedication as that of the 20th century. Century and is at the same time open to cross-style, unconventional concepts.Irina was born in 1986 to Korean parents in Siberian Novosibirsk. Inspired by her mother and sister, she took up the violin at an early age and studied music in Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg and Zurich. Among other things, she graduated from the ZHdK, where she studied with Prof.Z. Bron and U. Gröner graduated with distinction. At the same time, Irina was able to celebrate great success in numerous competitions, such as K. Lipinski & H. Wieniawski. As a soloist, she performed with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Berlin Camerata and the KKO Mannheim, among others. Appearances have taken her to the Berlin Philharmonie, AlterOper Frankfurt, the Wiener Musikverein and to festivals such as Palermo Classica or Les Classiques de Villar

Irina plays 1st violin in the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra. She has also played with stars such as "Gotthard", Rod Stewart, Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, David Garrett, Helene Fischer and Eminem. Irina is the founder, vice president and artistic director of the More thanClassic association. In this context, she can realize innovative projects such as BMX meets Violin, Immersive Classic in cooperation with Projektil. In addition, she directs the Zurich Virtuosi Ensemble and, as a council member of the Petersburg Foundation, supports the promotion of young Russian musical talent. Irina has been teaching her private violin class in Zurich since 2009.

Marianna Nevolovich comes from a family of musicians. She received her first piano lessons at the age of five from her father, the composer and pianist Arnold Nevolovich. She received her first musical education in her hometown of St. Petersburg. She successfully completed her studies with Prof. Alexander Sandler and Prof. James Tocco in St. Petersburg and in Lübeck with a postgraduate course. She also attended master classes with Vitaly Margulis, Hans Schicker, Karl-Heinz Kämmling, Walter Blankenheim and Robert D. Levin. Marianna Nevolovitsch has been successful internationally at well-known competitions since her childhood. She won several prizes between 1987 and 2002. Marianna Nevolovich has been a successful concert pianist for many years. She gives concerts regularly at home and abroad, both as a soloist and as a sought-after chamber music partner. She has already received invitations to important festivals, including the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Chamber Music Festival of the Scharwenka Society. Among her most recent projects in 2015 were performances of S. Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 in the most important cathedrals in Belgium

Marianna Nevolovich is a sought-after and experienced piano accompanist. She works regularly in various instrumental classes and with many singers, accompanying at international competitions and master classes. Since 2004 she has been teaching accompaniment at the Musikhochschule Lübeck and has been in the class of Prof. Thomas Brandis for many years, as well as currently working in the classes of Prof. Troels Svane and Carlos Johnson. Since 2007, Marianna Nevolovitsch has been a regular guest piano accompanist at the International Master Classes “Summer Music Academy Wohldorf-Ohlstedt” in Hamburg and has already worked with Jens Peter Maintz, Claudio Bohorquez, Wolfgang Boettcher, Stephan Picard and Elisabeth Kufferath, among others.
